‘Aynabaji’ to get Hindi, Telegu remakes

‘Aynabaji’, one of the most successful films of Bangladeshi cinema history, is now all set for a Telegu remake.

The film, which made waves around the world specially in India, responded well with the audience. The film was also adapted in several dramas last Eid.

With the ongoing popularity, Indian film production company Shree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures has now picked up the film for a Telugu remake.

Regarding this, Amitav Reza Chowdhury said, “Nothing has been finalized yet. I still do not know who is going to helm the film or star in it.”

The director promised to let fans know more details once they are available.

Amitabh went on to inform that the film will be remade in Hindi and other Indian languages as well.

“We’ve talked and tried to reach a conclusion regarding the making of this film. I can assure that ‘Aynabaji’ will be remade in Hindi and several more languages.”

Produced by Gousul Alam under the banner of Content Matters Production, the film stars Chanchal Chowdhury, Masuma Rahman Nabila and Partha Barua in lead roles. It is the director Amitabh Reza’s first feature film.

Notably, the film was released on 30 September 2016 in Dhaka and later in Chittagong and other cities. It was screened at Marché du Film at 69th annual Cannes Film Festival, where it scored well. Aynabaji has won the award of the best film at United States’s 11th Seattle South Asian Film Festival.

The movie was pirated after it was release on Robi online TV. The film had a limited release in theaters in the United States, France, Canada and Australia.
