The seventh edition of Bangladesh Denim Expo will be held on November 8-9, 2017 at the International Convention City Bashundhara, Dhaka, with a focus on transparency at supply chain.

The exposition will be a get-together for buyers and consumers, and show where and how apparel products are manufactured.

The demand for transparency at the textile and garment supply chains is on the rise, the expo organiser said, adding that transparency will be the core of the new edition that will let people know about the manufacturing process through a series of actions and events.

The event will help visitors as well as buyers know the entire process of manufacturing clothing products through a 3D show.

When companies are working in a transparent way, this also implies openness, communication and accountability across the supply chain and the people involved in the process, the organiser went on to say.

This exhibition will offer a unique panel of companies exhibiting their top products and best practices centered around the main theme of the expo.

In his address, Bangladesh Denim Expo Founder and CEO, Md Mostafiz Uddin said: “The vision of Bangladesh Denim Expo is to make Bangladesh a sourcing hub by creating a multinational gathering, exposing new business horizons and greater corporate opportunities for the entire denim value chain as well as uplifting the country’s image to the world.”

In the world, where ethics and responsibilities are currently questioned, the origin and story behind products is the key, he said, adding that transparency also refers to bringing in the issues of workers’ rights, well-being and working conditions under monitoring and accountability.

In the upcoming edition, a total of 58 exhibitors from across the world have already confirmed their participation.

Of the total visitors, 40 are from foreign countries while 18 are from Bangladesh.

The international denim exhibition in Dhaka keeps growing in numbers and quality of exhibitors, providing a unique insight on Bangladesh’s denim. The new edition is likely to unveil the secrets of the industry.

The expo is proud to announce that the four biggest denim product manufacturers of Bangladesh in terms of export volume are joining the November fair. The four are Pacific Jeans, Ananta, Bitopi and Dekko.
