Bangladesh cricket team to leave Dhaka for Dubai today


Bangladesh team will leave Dhaka for Dubai this evening to take part in the Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Tigers will start their Asia Cup 2018 mission taking on Sri Lanka in the tournament opener Saturday at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The team will leave Dhaka by a flight of Emirates Airlines around 7:30pm.

Bangladesh team had showed great performance in the last three seasons of the Asia Cup. The Tigers reached final two times in the Asia Cup. However, team could not taste the victory. Skipper Mashrafe said Bangladesh has a great scope to win the cup this time.



Bangladesh will also play against Afghanistan in their second Group B match on September 20 in Abu Dhabi.

Group-A consists of defending champions India, Pakistan and Hong Kong. The top two teams from each group will proceed to the Super-4 round. The sides will then play each other in round robin format to decide the two finalists. The final will be held on 28 September in Dubai.
