ADB to provide EBL US$ 20 million

Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide Eastern Bank Ltd. (EBL) a term loan to the tune of US$ 20 million to help improve the standards and quality of Bangladesh’s textile and garment sectors.

An agreement to this effect will be signed on Monday in the city.

Christine Engstrom, Director, Manmohan Parkash, Country Director-Bangladesh, Cai Li, Deputy Country Director-Bangladesh, ADB and Ali Reza Iterkhar, Managing Director and CEO of EBL will be present among other high officials on the occasion, according to a statement.
