Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has greeted Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Opposition Leader Raushon Ershad and Deputy Opposition Leader and Jatiya Party Chairman Ghulam Muhammed Quader by sending cards to them on the occasion of the upcoming Bangla New Year-1428.

On behalf of the premier, her Protocol Officer Md Abu Zafar Raju today handed over the greeting cards to the private secretaries of the respective persons.

The Bangla New Year is celebrated on 14 April every year.

This year, the Pohela Boishakh, the first day of the Bangla New Year 1428, is supposed to be celebrated in a limited scale following the government directives issued over tackling the alarming spread of the global pandemic coronavirus.
