The Chattogram Development Authority has temporarily suspended vehicular movement on Bayazid Bostami to Faujdarhat link road fearing landslides amid incessant rainfall in the port city.
Vehicles will be barred from using the road for the next three months, starting from Tuesday, CDA Chief Engineer Kazi Hassan bin Shams said.
He said that the pause in vehicular movement was also necessary on the route as a bridge over the newly-constructed road is being built.
The CDA constructed the six-kilometre road to ease traffic congestion.
Heavy rains have made the site a landslide prone area, he added.
