Deprived leaders-activists eagerly waiting for Tarique Rahman

The justice, economic development, agriculture, industry, health, canalization, mass education, food production and village health programs of the late President Ziaur Rahman attracted the countrymen.

Ziaur Rahman wanted to create a conscious and educated youth society. So that they would be steadfast guardians of independence and sovereignty.

He said that the youth society would lead this country. The youth society would be the pillar of hope and confidence of the poor parents in the villages.

The future Bangladesh built by Ziaur Rahman will be a reflection of the people's trust. The address of people's trust and hope is the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). The power of unity, the promise of development and the love of the people make Tarique Rahman a shining star in Bangladeshi politics.

A worthy successor of martyred President Ziaur Rahman and a worthy son of national leader Begum Khaleda Zia. He is a symbol of the people's love, faith and trust. Under his visionary leadership, the young generation is finding new hope.

Despite enduring oppression and torture, he is steadfast on the path of democracy. In the future of Bangladesh, he will be the flag-blessing of the people's liberation. Tarique Rahman means courage, struggle and a commitment to realize the rights of the people.

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman repeatedly addressed the leaders and activists via video call at the party rally and said that the 13th National Parliament election will be very difficult. If you think that BNP has come to power in the election, it will cause losses for the party. For this reason, Tarique Rahman has instructed the leaders and activists from the grassroots to the central level to refrain from occupation, extortion and various controversial activities. But the party's dedicated and loyal leaders and activists are being lost in the crowd of controversial ones.

According to political analysts, grouping is going on for nominations in each of the 300 BNP seats. It seems that nominations will be obtained by raising your hand. There are 4/5 groupings in each seat. In these groupings, BNP hybrid leaders of the last one year have found a place. And the leaders and activists who have been sacrificed, loyal and victims of imprisonment and torture of the last 17 years have become stagnant. The hybrids and beneficiaries have brought down the popularity of BNP in the last one year. They actually survived for 15 years by colluding with the Awami League government. After August 5, they are the ones who are giving shelter to the Awami League. That is why Jamaat is getting a chance to oppose BNP very briefly.

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has already learned about these privileged leaders from various sources. Many leaders of the party's high command are also on this list. Tarique Rahman has given a stern warning message so that the image of BNP is not tarnished in any way. But ignoring his instructions, numerous BNP leaders are involved in extortion and various controversial activities. They have been involved in various takeover deals after the July Revolution. They cannot be stopped in any way.

According to a survey by the intelligence agency, a survey is being conducted to find candidates with a clean image in the next national elections. Young leaders will be the priority, and if they come to power, action will be taken against them if they engage in controversial activities. Ignoring this, a section of BNP across Bangladesh has involved itself in controversial activities. The party's image has already been tarnished by the involvement of influential local nomination hopefuls and some central leaders in shelters and activities. For this, several special teams of BNP are collecting information about these leaders.

BNP leaders have said that BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman will not nominate anyone controversial in the next election. They said that there is zero tolerance towards those who disobey Tarique Rahman's instructions and tarnish the party's image. No matter how powerful they are in the area or in the party, they will not be nominated.

The Special Branch (SB) of the police has started working at the field level since July 4. Various intelligence agencies, including the police, are collecting information about the candidates by visiting their homes and business offices. Some candidates have given personal information to the intelligence agencies on their own initiative, and some are trying to hide some things.

The agencies are collecting the remaining information from traditional sources and leaders and activists at different levels at the field level. This initiative has been taken by the law enforcement agencies to ensure peaceful, free and violence-free elections. This list of candidates based on Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chittagong, Barisal, Rangpur, Khulna, Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions has been collected.

Information about more candidates has been received in Dhaka division. 580 people are interested in contesting the elections in 70 seats in this division. In addition, the police have received initial information that 70 out of 1,941 people who are willing to vote are debt defaulters. There are also reports of some candidates being taken to the police station so that the police report does not turn out to be negative. However, the police say that the information that will be received at the field level will be recorded here.

In this regard, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam said that detailed information about the candidates has been asked to be submitted in tabular form. A Superintendent of Police (SP) of Rajshahi division, who did not want to be named, told this newspaper that a list of potential candidates has been made and sent to Dhaka. A police officer from Tangail said that there are many controversial leaders who are desperate to get nominations. There are allegations of extortion and encroachment against them.

Sources said that there are 120 candidates in 24 constituencies in Mymensingh division. An average of six candidates have been reported for each constituency. According to the police report, most of the candidates in that division are young.

Police said that they have received information about 198 candidates for 33 seats in Rangpur division. It is reported that BNP has more candidates in that division. In addition, 348 people have appeared on the list to participate in the election contest in 58 seats in Chittagong division. It is reported that 147 people will vote in 21 seats in Barisal division.

This time, 216 people will vote in 36 seats in Khulna division. It has been reported that 180 people will vote in 30 seats in Rajshahi division. It is known that BNP candidates are more in that division. In addition, 152 potential candidates will contest in 19 seats in Sylhet. In addition, 147 people will vote in 21 seats in Barisal division, according to the police report.

According to sources at the Police Headquarters, the police biodata will ask about the candidate's professional identity, political history and role, social and religious influence, record of involvement in any provocative activities, pending cases or previous convictions, mobile number, type of business and financial transactions, details of travel abroad and assets, criminal record, information in police records, educational qualifications and whether he can get involved in violence. A fascist group may be active in the field to thwart the election. In view of this, the police will increase patrols at the field level and deploy additional forces. The police force will actively perform its duties in the field.

Meanwhile, on August 5, Chief Advisor Dr. Mohammad Yunus announced the 13th National Assembly election on February 12 next year. But domestic and foreign circles are involved in conspiring to postpone the election. Some people want the election to be held through the PR method. But the Chief Election Commissioner has made it clear that the election will be held according to the constitution. There is no room for thinking beyond this.

Meanwhile, about 20 million new voters will be added to the next national elections in Bangladesh. Most young people want employment, modern education, technology-based development and political stability. But if the PR system is introduced, they believe that politics will become more complicated, corrupt and ineffective. This may turn young people away from democracy. Religious violence and social unrest will increase.

BNP's controversial figures not getting nominations

Political analysts consider this a timely, realistic, and tough step. Tarique Rahman's tough sentence is making many leaders of the party's high command sweat. Many leaders have started to reflect on their past activities. Again, the past records of many are being analyzed. However, BNP will take the right decision regarding those in the party who were subjected to torture and oppression during the Awami fascist government.

While talking to a leader of the party's standing committee, it was learned that most of the leaders and activists who were dedicated to the party during the fallen government have been subjected to false cases. Many have also been accused of cases for their own misdeeds. Now everyone is claiming that they have been subjected to torture and oppression for party meetings and processions and for the party.

According to sources, hundreds of cases have been filed against thousands of leaders and activists, including BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Joint Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi. Again, someone has joined hands with various ministers and MPs of the Awami League government to do contracting, tendering, arrangement and business. They are now at the forefront of meetings and processions. If BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman makes a decision after reviewing and analyzing it properly, then the image of the party will be positive. The dedicated and loyal leaders and activists are looking towards Tarique Rahman.

Political analysts said that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, founded on the ideals of martyr President Ziaur Rahman, the proponent of multi-party democracy, is composed of 19 delicate and 4 fundamental principles. Unwavering faith in Allah Almighty and belief in Islamic values, Bangladeshi nationalism, social, economic, justice, a sound social system, and democracy to realize the rights of the masses. Due to Zia's skillful thinking, he was able to transform a country like a bottomless basket into a well-organized, prosperous, well-reliant, free from miscreants and a developing country. He was able to form a self-reliant defense force. He was able to establish closeness and good relations with all countries in the international arena.

After the martyrdom of Shaheed Zia, unprecedented progress has been achieved during the tenure of Begum Khaleda Zia, the mother of the country. Everything has been possible because of patriotism. Their followers have not yet been able to become worthy successors of Shaheed Zia and Begum Khaleda Zia, so today the BNP high command and the district and upazila groups are immersed in groupings. During the long 15 and a half years of the Durbar movement against the authoritarian Hasina government and above all the student movement against discrimination, BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman told the leaders and activists that the next election will be very difficult.

During the rule of the corrupt government, ignoring the demands of the people and pursuing their own interests, they were forced to flee because they imprisoned, oppressed, disappeared, murdered, attacked, sued the opposition party, as well as occupied, extorted, looted property and deprived people of their freedom of speech.

The people of this country are optimistic that only the acting chairman of BNP, Tarique Rahman, who is a worthy successor to Shaheed Zia and Begum Khaleda Zia, will be able to build a beautiful and prosperous Bangladesh. Where there will be no politics of revenge, no looting, no deprivation of anyone's property, and no freedom of speech.

A new self-reliant Bangladesh will be formed by giving priority to the demands of the people by sacrificing their own interests. In the coming days, only jihadi soldiers worthy of Shaheed Zia and Begum Khaleda Zia will be able to build a prosperous Bangladesh by fulfilling the duties of Tarique Rahman's sepoy.

BNP's controversial leaders and activists should be expelled and the defectors should be given priority. To increase popularity, people should go door to door. Public relations should be increased. Leaders and activists who stand by people in times of trouble and calamity should be given a place in the front row.

Starting from the ward level to the central leaders, those against whom there are allegations of extortion and occupation should be identified. BNP's acting chairman Tarique Rahman has demanded that necessary measures be taken, including publishing their list, by the defectors, who are deprived of party positions, talented, loyal and victims of imprisonment and torture.
