Tarique Rahman, acting chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and main sponsor of 'We are the BNP family', has stood by the two orphaned children, Maryam and Ismail, of Bhangura upazila in Pabna.

This Saturday afternoon (November 8, 2025), financial assistance was provided to the two children through a humanitarian program in Madarbaria village of Khanmarich Union, Bhangura Upazila.

A report on the helplessness of two orphaned children, Maryam and Ismail, was recently published on social media. This report came to the attention of Tarique Rahman. He then instructed Atiqur Rahman Rumon, the convener of 'Amra BNP Paribas', to conduct a thorough investigation into the two orphaned children.

In continuation of this, today, on behalf of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Nationalist Farmers' Party President and agriculturist Hasan Zafir Tuhin handed over financial assistance to helpless little children Maryam and Ismail.

BNP Chairperson's Special Assistant Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas was present as the chief guest at the event. He expressed his sympathy for the orphaned child Maryam and her younger brother Ismail and expressed his determination to stand by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman in the future.

Meanwhile, participating in this humanitarian program, agriculturist Mokchedul Momin Mithun, member secretary of 'Amra BNP Paribas', announced a monthly scholarship for the education of Maryam and her younger brother Ismail on behalf of the organization.

Jahidul Islam Rony, member of the managing committee of the National Press Club, Masud Rana Liton, Rubel Amin, Shahadat Hossain and Engineer Abu Hanif, members of 'Amra BNP Paribas', were present at the time.

Also present were Pabna District BNP Member Secretary Advocate Maksudur Rahman Masud Khandaker, Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP Member Arifa Sultana Ruma and Pabna Press Club General Secretary Zahurul Islam. Besides, numerous leaders and activists of local BNP and its affiliates participated in this humanitarian program.
