BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on Thursday said his party would introduce family cards for four crore households if his party comes to power.

The BNP leader said the card would be issued in the name of the female head of each family and would provide a monthly allowance of Tk 2,000 to Tk 2,500, along with essential food items.

Tarique also promised to modernise technical education to enhance skills for people seeking overseas employment and stressed the importance of learning foreign languages.

He made these remarks during an interactive discussion with youths at Grand Sylhet Hotel on Thursday morning. BNP Chairman’s adviser Ziauddin Hyder moderated the event.

He joined the event, titled 'The Plan: Youth Policy Talk with Tarique Rahman', to reveal his future plan and talked to youths.

This event allowed young participants, mostly students from various educational institutions, to share their views and seek guidance.

During the dialogue, Tarique Rahman answered different questions of the youths and presented his plan to be implemented if his party is voted to power in the next.

BNP Supremo presented his comprehensive vision, “The Plan”, outlining policy priorities on health, education, agriculture, environment, employment, and inclusive national development.

The session was enriched by thoughtful questions, constructive feedback and insightful comments from the participating students, reflecting the intellectual depth and civic awareness of our future leaders.

Such open exchanges between a top political leader and young minds are essential for building a participatory, informed, and forward-looking Bangladesh.

“It was a meaningful policy dialogue on ‘The Plan’ with meritorious students from 19 higher education institutions across the Sylhet region,” BNP Chairman’s adviser Ziauddin Hyder told reporters.

Meanwhile, Tarique Rahman is scheduled to attend a public rally at the Alia Madrasa field in Sylhet.
