Uranium will not be transferred anywhere: Iran

Tehran has categorically rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s claims regarding the transfer of its enriched uranium stockpile to the United States.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei clarified on Friday, April 17, 2026, that handing over nuclear materials was never part of the negotiations, emphasizing that current talks focus on ending the conflict and lifting sanctions rather than uranium recovery.

Baghaei also warned that any continued U.S. naval blockade would be a direct violation of the ceasefire, asserting that Iran's armed forces are prepared to respond to any provocations.

Despite international concerns over Iran’s uranium enrichment levels—which remain near weapons-grade—Tehran insists on its "10-point plan" for sanctions relief and compensation for war damages as the primary agenda for future diplomacy.
