State Minister for the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock; Sultan Salahuddin Tuku said, the previous government neglected measles vaccination and did not take effective measures to bring the vaccine on time. As a result, the current government faced an unwanted crisis in the provision of vaccination due to the increase in the outbreak of measles.
He further said, "Under the direction of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the current government and the concerned officials of the Ministry of Health have arranged for this vaccination as soon as possible. I congratulate and thank everyone concerned for this."
He made these remarks to reporters after inaugurating the measles-rubella vaccination program at the municipal park in Tangail Municipality on Monday (April 20) at 11 am.

According to State Minister Tuku, the people were exposed to this health risk due to the negligence and irresponsibility of the previous two governments. He condemned them for such negligence.
However, he also mentioned that the current government's initiative has already made it possible to deliver measles vaccines throughout the country.
Besides, health is the most important thing in human life. Especially the health risks of children are very worrying. Therefore, in addition to being aware of health issues, State Minister Sultan Salahuddin Tuku urged everyone to increase health awareness in the coming days.
