Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan said direct train communication will be launched between Panchagarh and Cox’s Bazar in future.

"Direct train service will be launched on Panchagarh-Cox’s Bazar route in the days to come," he said while visiting Bir Muktijoddha Sirajul Islam Rail Station in Panchagarh on Friday.

The government wants to make train communication easier in the country, said the minister.  

"We are mulling introducing train service on Banglabandha-Panchagarh route in future".

Deputy Commissioner Md Johurul Islam, Superintendent of Police Yousuf Ali, Boda Municipality Mayor Advocate Ohahiduzzaman Suja, among others, were present.

The minister also exchanged pleasantries with the locals after Jumma prayers. While conversing with them, he said the government has put stable fertilizer price along with giving subsidy at high yield crop seeds and fertilizers.

At the same time, he also said that the government is considering providing free irrigation opportunities to the farmers through electricity, he added.

"The present government will do all things for the development of agriculture that will change the fate of the farmers," he added.
