Retired senior secretary Shamsul Alam has expressed delight on Facebook at the removal of Md Mokhlesur Rahman from the Ministry of Public Administration.
Just two days ago, he made explosive allegations that hefty sums of money were exchanged in return for key appointments.
Shamsul, who entered the administration through the 9th BCS, once served as APS to Khaleda Zia, who was prime minister then during the BNP government.
Later, under Sheikh Hasina’s administration, he was repeatedly denied promotions.
After the fall of the Awami League government, the interim government awarded him a double promotion to the rank of senior secretary.
However, he was never given any significant posting as expected, and was sent on post-retirement leave (PRL) in March.
According to Shamsul, his exclusion was the work of the recently removed Public Administration Secretary Mokhlesur.
