Dr Zubaida Rahman, wife of BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and a noted cardiologist, visited the family members of Inquilab Mancha spokesperson and potential independent candidate for Dhaka-8 constituency Sharif Osman Hadi, who was injured in a shooting ahead of the upcoming national election.

She met the relatives of Sharif Osman Bin Hadi at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka at around 9pm on Friday (11 December), where he is receiving treatment.

During the visit, she expressed her sympathy to Hadi’s brother and sister. She also spoke with his colleagues who were present at the hospital.

'Amra BNP Paribar' Convener and member of the BNP media cell Atiqur Rahman Rumon and Director of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) Dr Shah Muhammad Aman Ullah were also present.

Earlier on Friday, shortly after Juma prayers, Sharif Osman Bin Hadi was shot on Box Culvert Road in Dhaka’s Bijoynagar area. He was first taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and was later transferred to Evercare Hospital.
