'Internet is the main platform of economic activity'

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak on Friday said internet is the main platform of economic activity in today's world.

For this reason, the present government has been working to increase the internet users to cent percent, the junior minister said.

Palak came up with the observation while inaugurating a workshop titled ‘bd NOG 8: Conference on Internet Operational Technology’ at Sheikh Hasina Software Technology Park in Jessore.

The junior minister said high speed internet service will be provided to the 16 crore people of the country by 2021 through which entrepreneurs will be created and they will secure orders from Europe and America sitting in their village home.

More than hundred technologists from different internet service providers of the country took part in the workshop.
