Livestock dept facilitates sales of poultry items worth Tk 267.2m

The poultry farmers of across the country sold poultry products worth Tk 267.2 million through mobile sales centres of the Department of Livestock across the country.

The farmers have sold 24,10,881 litres milk, 1,18,87,289 pieces of eggs and 15,86,662 poultry chickens of Tk 26,72,55,476 through the mobile sales centres of the Department of Livestock, reports FT.

The Department of Livestock under the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has taken the initiative to sell poultry items through mobile selling centers due to Coronavirus crisis, said a press release here today.

The ministry has asked all concerned officials to take necessary steps to ensure supply and marketing of poultry items of the marginal farmers due to current Coronavirus epidemic.
