Mobile court to check fertilizer price: Razzaque

Mobile courts will be deployed to control the price of fertilizer at upazila level next 15 days, said Agriculture Minister Mohammad Abdur Razzaque.

Regarding the issue a meeting was held with the Ministry of Industries and fertilizer dealers at the Secretariat, a press release said on Tuesday.

"The country has adequate stocks of fertilizer. But, due to some dishonest dealers’ farmers had to buy fertilizers at higher prices. So, we have decided to run mobile court for the next 15 days,” said Razzaque.

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder, Ministry of Agriculture, Senior Secretary Mesbahul Islam, Ministry of Industries, Secretary Zakia Sultana, Bangladesh Fertilizer Association (BFA) President Kamrul Asraf Khan along with other officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Industries were present.
