Russian govt to allocate over 7.5 bln rubles for investment projects in agriculture


The Russian government plans to allocate over 7.5 billion rubles in order to implement investment projects in agriculture, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Tuesday at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting.

According to the prime minister, the allocated funds will render it possible to implement more than 150 investment projects in 43 regions, among which are establishing dairy and meat farms, as well as centers for seed production and breeding.

"On a systematic basis, this decision will allow providing farmers with the capacities they need to boost production and fully meet the needs of our citizens for high-quality and affordable foodstuffs," Mishustin said.
