Gold price drops by Tk 2,916 per bhori

Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) has lowered the price of gold by Tk 2,916 to Tk 79,548.48 a bhori (11.664 gram) as price of the precious metal has fallen on the global market.

The prices of the gold have been reduced in the domestic market in line with the global market, said a press release of BAJUS.

The price of 22-carat gold has decreased to Tk 79,548.48 a bhori from Tk 82,464.48 a bhori, according to the statement signed by Enamul Haque Bhuiyan Liton, vice chairman of standing committee on pricing and monitoring at BAJUS.

The new price will be effective on the local market today.

The price of 21-carat gold has decreased to Tk 75,932.64 a bhori while price of 18-carat gold to Tk 65,085.12 a bhori. On the other hand, the price of traditional gold has dropped to Tk 54,237.6 per bhori.

The price of silver, however, remains unchanged.
