Walton, HAAN sign MoU to develop and market innovative products in S. Korea
Bangladesh's leading electronics brand Walton signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with South Korea based HAAN Easy Life Inc. to collaborate for developing new innovative design home and small appliances, expand global market and selling Walton home appliances in the South Korea.
In addition, Walton and HAAN will collaborate for the 2nd generation vacuum cleaner model. The model already got the 'RED DOT Award 2022'.
The MoU was signed at Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC's Corporate Office in the capital on Tuesday last (October 4, 2022).
HAAN Easy Life Inc.'s Chairman Nam Sukh Koh and Walton Global Business Division (GBD) President Edward Kim signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
The program was also attended by, among others, Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC's Managing Director and CEO Golam Murshed, Director Nishat Tasnim Shuchi, HAAN's Chief Executive Officer KS Chang, Walton Home Appliances' Chief Business Officer (CBO) Al Imran, Refrigerator's CBO Engineer Anisur Rahman Mollick, and GBD's Vice President Syed Al Imran.
After signing the MoU, HAAN's Chairman Nam Sukh Koh said: I am very much excited and amazed to see the facilities and manufacture plant like this (Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC.). This is the best time for Walton and Bangladesh to grow in Consumer Electronics market as everybody is looking for alternative options to come out from China.
Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC's Managing Director and CEO Golam Murshed said: Walton has already established a design and innovation center in Korea for Global Expansion. Walton is now focusing on new innovative products. Walton is participating CES fair in USA in January 2023. In this fair, Walton will showcase the new products.
Walton GBD's President Edward Kim has shared about the global opportunities of Consumer Electronics market. He is confident about Walton manufacturing capabilities with Korean collaboration in case of design and technology will surely help Walton become a Global brand. He hoped that entering Korean market is a giant step for Walton and for Bangladesh.
