Passion to Profession: Training Drives Wedding Industry Growth

There is no alternative to skill development and structured training in the event management and wedding planning industry, said Muhammad Tarikuzzaman, President of the Association of Wedding Event Management Bangladesh.

He made the remarks at a press conference held on Monday (April 20) at Cricketers Kitchen & Café in Gulshan-1, Dhaka.

“Event management is no longer limited to decoration or catering—it has evolved into a full-fledged industry with significant economic potential in Bangladesh,” Tarikuzzaman stated.

He outlined the organization’s three core objectives: nurturing new entrepreneurs, enhancing service quality through training, and ensuring a sustainable and promising future for the profession.

Addressing young aspirants, he emphasized, “To succeed in this field, there is no substitute for proper skills and training. Professional excellence comes only through competence.”
