Industrialist Abdul Monem Khan passes away

Renowned industrialist and founder of Abdul Monem Group Abdul Monem Khan passed away at a city hospital today.

He was 85.

Sources said, he breathed his last at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka at around 10am.

Monem left behind his wife, two sons, three daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.

Abdul Monem was the chairman and managing director of Abdul Monem Group.

A civil engineer by profession, Abdul Monem masterminded the AML Business, its expansion and horizontal integration and diversification.

He was awarded 'Commercially Important Person (CIP)' status by the government of Bangladesh several times.
