ICONE hosts 'Nuclear Tent’ program

To create public interest in science and technology and to create awareness about the safety of nuclear technology and its versatile use, Information Center on Nuclear Energy (ICONE) in Dhaka hosted a “Nuclear Tent” program for general public at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre recently.

The program was a part of celebrating Bangla New Year-1429 and was supported by Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) Bangladesh, Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC) and Russian State Corporation ROSATOM.

The day-long Nuclear Tent program included road-side public interaction, doodling on canvas, distribution of informative leaflets, booklets, science-based quiz competition and games among others.

Most active participants and winners of competitions were awarded with attractive souvenirs. Over 200 people from all ages participated in the activities.
