Cash and health materials distributed to the flood victims in Kalidah, Feni
Coast Foundation, a non-governmental development organization, has provided cash and medical supplies to the needy families affected by the floods.
Funded by Start Fund Bangladesh, this collaboration was done at Walukia Government Primary School in Fenir, Kalideh, on Monday, September 30.
Among 143 families, taka 6090 was given through Nagad mobile account. Also, 01 bucket with lid, 1 mug, 1 packet of sanitary pad, 1 nail cutter, 1 towel, 2 soaps, 2 packets of detergent (500 g) powder, 1 tooth paste as sanitary materials. , 4 brushes, 1 coconut oil, 1 antiseptic disinfectant, 10 saline and 2 leaf water purification tablets are distributed to flood victims.
Mo Elias, a resident of Ward No. 4, who came to collect materials, said, I have suffered a lot of damage in the flood, crops, cows, chickens, all the goods of the house have been destroyed. I am happy with the support I got today. I will repair the house with this money and use the goods with all the family members.
Project Coordinator Md. Mizanur Rahman said, with the aim of rehabilitating people after the flood, this cooperation continues among a total of 600 families, including 298 people in Motbi and Kalidah of the district headquarters and 302 people in Mangalkandi and Nawabpur of Sonagazi.
The materials were distributed in the presence of the people of the area including Indrani Dhar, Head Teacher and Assistant Teacher Madhuri Roy of Valukia Government Primary School. Executive Officer of Feni Sadar Upazila Md. Nazmul Hasan provided full support in the work of cooperation.
The upazila coordinator of the project, Saidur Rahman, Maksud, Kangkeswar Chandra Roy, Manik Chandra Howladar, Farhad, Shyamal Chaidyal and Badsha were also present in the event.
