Kutubdia fire incidentsCOAST provides relief to fire-affected families

Today COAST Foundation, a non-governmental organization, extended cash assistance of BDT 40,000 to four families in Muralia village, Kutubdia, who lost their homes in a devastating fire.

The fire originated in the home of Kaisar Uddin around 1:15 a.m. on 14 November.

It quickly spread to the nearby residences of Md. Nesar, Md. Yasin and Sheku Alam. Residents managed to bring the fire under control, but the houses were destroyed.

The support was provided through the IRMP project of COAST Foundation, in partnership with JICA and with assistance from Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF).
