Global coronavirus death toll crosses 100,000

The death toll from the novel coronavirus pandemic has crossed 100,000 globally as of today, according to the data complied by Johns Hopkins University.

The global number for coronavirus cases has topped 1.6 million, less than a week after breaching the 1-million mark.

100,376 people had died as of Friday afternoon midnight (Bangladesh time).

In Bangladesh, so far 27 people have died from the virus and 424 are infected with it.
