100,620 doses of Pfizer vaccine arrive today

Bangladesh is scheduled to receive 100,620 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccines today.

The government has earlier given the emergency use authorization (EUA) for the use of Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine. The Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) issued the authorization to the Pfizer mRNA vaccine on Thursday.

This vaccine is suitable for people over 12 years of age.

However, according to the Bangladesh government's plan, this vaccine will be provided to people of a certain age.

The Pfizer jab has two doses with the 2nd one given 3-4 weeks after the first shot.

It should be stored at minus 90-60 degrees Celsius.

However, the vaccine will remain stable for five days at a temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius and two hours at 30 degrees Celsius, according to the DGDA.
