‘Lockdown’ extended till June 6


The government has extended the ongoing lockdown by another week till June 6 in a bid to contain the spread of Covid-19.

The Cabinet Division issued a circular in this regard on Sunday.

The circular urged the authorities concerned to take necessary steps in this regard.

This year, the government initially imposed the countrywide restrictions on public movement on April 5, with the strict lockdown put into effect from April 14. The lockdown was later extended till May 16.

Until the new announcement, the restrictions were effective till May 30.
