All religious gatherings bannedGovt curbs mosque congregation

The Ministry of Religion has issued a notice that orders everyone to say their prayers at own homes to curb the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus.

The notice signed by Deputy Secretary Md Shakhawat Hossain states that it has been issued in regard to core beliefs of all religion and national security.  

The notice issued today also orders that only the khatib, imam, muazzin, khadem in total no more than five people can pray together at mosques.

For the Jummah prayer, the limit is less than 10. Anyone from outside cannot be a part of the jamaat.

It also states that there can be no religious gatherings such as mahfil, tablig or milad anywhere in the country during this situation. 

Not only Muslims, the notice reads that followers of other religions also cannot gather for any religious occasions during the outbreak of coronavirus.
