Initiative to strengthen FBCCI as a platform for businessmen: Commerce Minister

Commerce Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir emphasized the transformation of FBCCI into a truly representative and non-political organization during a meeting with business leaders.

He stated that the federation should act as a proactive platform for safeguarding business interests and providing realistic policy inputs to the ministry without being influenced by political agendas.

The Minister also announced that the new Import Policy is in its final stages and will be released soon.

Furthermore, separate committees involving business representatives will be formed to streamline services under the commerce, industry, and textile ministries.

Business leaders in attendance proposed appointing a representative from the business community as an administrator to oversee the upcoming FBCCI elections.
