Six-year-old adorable child, Tahedi Akter Tasnim. On the night of February 24, her lifeless body was recovered from the dark elevator shaft of an under-construction building adjacent to house number 12/1/A in the Paschim Rampura Ulon area of Hatirjheel. Was the incident merely an accident, or a diabolical premeditated murder? In search of an answer to this burning question, the court premises to the streets are currently agitated.
Today, during the hearing of this sensational and mysterious death case, the learned court granted a 3-day remand for one of the accused in response to the investigating officer's plea. Meanwhile, standing on the court premises, Tasnim's helpless parents broke down into heart-rending wails, demanding capital punishment for those responsible for their daughter's death. Their cries rendered the surrounding air heavy with grief.
*"I will seek justice for my daughter's murder even if I die on the streets"*
A tailor by profession, Tasnim's bereaved father, Md. Liton, broke down in tears and said, "Assalamu Alaikum. I am Tasnim's father, a poor and miserable man. I demand the hanging of those who planned and murdered my little girl. Even if I lose my life, even if I die on the streets, I will continue to seek justice for my daughter's murder, and I demand their execution."
*Not an Accident, but Premeditated Murder: Plaintiff Lawyer's Irrefutable Argument in Court*
While the defense lawyers attempted to dismiss the incident in court as a 'normal death' or an 'accident', the plaintiff's lawyer, Advocate Shahadat, presented the underlying mystery to the learned court.
He stated, "We have informed the learned court that this is a premeditated murder. A girl leaves her house at 9:00 PM, and she is missing between 9:30 and 10:00 PM. Later, her dead body is found in the pit reserved for the elevator of the under-construction building. We successfully convinced the court that if the girl went there to play, she would not have gone at night. There is no lighting or suitable environment in that under-construction building. Why would she go there? Considering our arguments, the learned court granted a three-day remand for the accused."
He further added, "We are also scrutinizing whether the under-construction building maintained proper safety protocols at all. Even if they try to prove it as a normal death, we will bring to the court's attention the sheer negligence involved in the construction of the building. We will continue to fight for justice for these helpless parents."
*"Optimistic about getting justice through a fair investigation"*
Standing on the court premises, Tasnim's mother pleaded for justice from the nation. She said, "Dear countrymen, Assalamu Alaikum. One of the people who premeditatedly murdered my daughter was produced in court today. We pleaded for remand, and a three-day remand has been granted. I am optimistic that justice will be served through a fair investigation. I want them hanged. Dear countrymen, please stand by my side and pray for us so that we can get fair justice."
