Educational institutions to remain closed till June 15


The Public Administration Ministry on Wednesday disclosed that there will be no general holiday after May 30 but educational institutions  will remain closed till June 15.

The decision of the government was learnt from media reports this afternoon.

Mentionable, all educational institutions in the country have been closed since March 17 after the coronavirus outbreak in the country. The holiday of educational institutions has also extended with the gradual increase in general holidays.

Meanwhile, earlier in the afternoon today, a Bangla portal reported that a decision has been taken to further increase the holiday of educational institutions across the country.

The report stated that all academic institutions in the country will remain closed until the coronavirus infection is brought under control.   

It was also informed that the holiday of educational institutions will be extended further considering safety of the students.  And officials of the Education Ministry and Primary and Mass Education Ministry informed that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has already hinted not to open educational institutions before September.

Besides, policymakers are thinking to keep the educational activities continue staying at home or alternative method of learning.
