SSC result handed over to PM


The results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination held under eight education boards and equivalent examinations under the madrasa and technical education boards this year have been published.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni handed over a summary of the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her Gonobhaban residence on Sunday morning.

Later, chairmen of ten education boards handed over the result of their respective board to the prime minister.

The premier announced the results through a videoconference from Ganabhaban in the capital.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will reveal the detail information about the results a 12:00pm though a Facebook live programme, said Mohammed Abul Khair, public relations officer of education ministry.

This year, the results will not be sent to educational institutions to avoid gatherings amid the coronavirus outbreak across the country.

For the first time, the results of SSC and equivalent exams will reach examinees or their guardians via SMS.

Students do not have to go to schools to know the results. They will be able to know the results through SMS.

The education boards conducted pre-registration of candidates to provide the results, which was continue till 24 hours before publication of the results.

To avail the results via SMS, a student will have to type SSC (space) first three letters of board (space) roll number (space) exam year and send to 16222 from any mobile phone at a cost of Tk 2.55.

The candidates also can visit the website http://www.educationboardresults.gov.bd/ to get their SSC and equivalent exams results.

At least 2.4 million students appeared at SSC and equivalent exams from Feb 3 to 27 at 3,512 centres from around 28,884 educational institutions across the country.
