Holding HSC exams not possible right now: Dipu Moni

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has said it is not being possible to hold Higher Secondary Examination (HSC) and equivalent examinations at this moment due to COVID-19 situation.

The education minister came up with the information  on Sunday while responding to a question of a journalist on holding HSC and its equivalent examinations of this year.

Dr Dipu Moni said, “We took all preparations to hold HSC examinations. Due to coronavirus situation, the examinations are not being held. Besides, public transports will have to start for holding the examinations as there is huge number of HSC candidates. Even, it is tough to maintain distancing. There will be risk even after examination centres increase. As a result, the HSC and equivalent examination cannot take place in the country. When such a situation will arise, we will hold the examination giving two weeks’ prior notice.”
