Private universities get conditional approval for taking exams

The University Grants Commission (UGC) on Wednesday gave conditional approval for taking practical classes and examinations of the final year students of private universities.

Following strict health guideline is a must for running the activities. The distance between two students must be kept at least six feet while taking class or examinations.

Maximum 10 students are allowed for a lab class or examination. Holding not more than one class in a day is also suggested.

The approval came at a virtual meeting of UGC held on Tuesday.

It also requested all to follow the directives of the government as well as the World Health Organisation (WHO) for preventing the spread of coronavirus.
