Agami Education Foundation holds third Fundraising Event


The third fundraising event of Agami Education Foundation was held Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 7:30pm at BGMEA Complex Apparel Club in Kawran Bazar, Dhaka. 

MA Mannan, MP, Honourable Minister, Ministry of Planning, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh was the chief guest while Naser Ezaz Bijoy, CEO of Standard Chartered Bank, Faruq Mainuddin Ahmed, managing director and CEO of Trust Bank Limited, and Arif Khan, CEO and MD of IDLC Finance Limited graced the event as special guests.

The event started with the welcome note of Professor Dr. M Mosihuzzaman, president, AEF who briefly described the history of AEF. 

After the welcome note, Nafisa Khanam, executive director of AEF briefly presented the activities of AEF focusing on the future goals and targets. 

She also requested the audience to contribute financially and/or through volunteer work.

Arif, Faruq, and Bijoy respectively addressed as special guests on the occasion.

Later, Mannan delivered his speech as the chief guest. 

In his speech, he stressed to include vocational courses in AEF supported school alongside the general curricular, and expressed optimism of extending all possible support for the sake of underprivileged children’s education. 

Shawkat Hossain, vice president and the convener of AEF Fundraising Event 2019 delivered the concluding speech. 

He extended thanks and gratitude to all well-wishers and those who patronise AEF activities, and urged to continue further support.

The event ended with a cultural programme performed by students of Agami-supported school – music for development “Shurer Dhara”.

AEF, a sister organisation of Agami Inc., was founded by Bangladeshi individuals living in the USA.

It is a voluntary, non-profit, non-political and secular organisation dedicated to improve education of underprivileged children in Bangladesh. 

Presently AEF is supporting a good number of schools in Bangladesh.
