Four trade fairs to kick off in city on January 15

Four international trade shows, under the banner GARMENTECH Bangladesh 2020, will begin in the city on Wednesday aimed at developing the readymade garment (RMG) sector.

Around 450 companies from more than 24 countries will participate in the trade shows.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi is expected to attend the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest.

The announcement was made at a press conference on Monday at a city hotel.

Zakaria Trade & Fair International, ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd and Bangladesh Garment Accessories & Packaging Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) are organising 19th edition of GARMENTECH Bangladesh 2020.

The shows are international Apparel Machinery & Allied Products Tradeshow, 11th edition of International Yarn & Fabrics Sourcing Fair, 11th edition of GAP Expo-2020 International Garment Accessories, Packaging Show Concurrent with PACKTECH Bangladesh 2020 International Expo on Packaging & Corrugation Technology.

The expo will be held on January 15-18 at International Convention Centre Bashundhara, Dhaka.

Salman F Rahman, adviser to the Prime Minister for Private Sector Industry and Investment will be present at the function as the Guest of Honor while Dr. Rubana Huq, President, BGMEA as the Special Guest.

Tipu Sultan Bhuyian, MD, ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, among others, was present at the press conference.
