President asks capstone fellows to contribute to development


President M Abdul Hamid today asked the fellows of Capstone Course-2019 to contribute more to the country’s development as a delegation paid a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban here this evening.

“Utilize your expertise for overall development of the country,” he said, congratulating course members on their successful completion of the Capstone Course, President’s Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin told BSS.

The participants of the Capstone Course usually include MPs, senior civil and military officials, professionals and industrialists. The course focuses on national security and development.

“This (course) will also help remove difference of opinions in the society. Besides, it can play an effective role in policy formulation and policy execution,” Abdul Hamid said.

The President hoped that the knowledge acquired from this course will help the participants serve people more and expedite sustainable development and progress of the country.

Commandant of National Defense College (NDC) Lt Gen Mamun Khaled apprised the President of different aspects of the course.

Senior officials of Bangabhaban were present on the occasion.
