Bangladesh to mourn Kuwait Emir's death


Bangladesh is going to observe a daylong state mourning on Thursday commemorating death of a “true friend” and Kuwait's Emir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah.

A notification in this regard signed by Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam, has been issued on Wednesday.

On this occasion, the national flag will be half-hoisted at all government, semi-government and autonomous institutions and educational institutions including all government and non-government buildings and Bangladesh missions abroad on Thursday, sources informed according to the notification.

At the same time, special prayers will be held in all mosques of Bangladesh for the forgiveness of the soul of the late Emir.
