3,688 to be recruited through 47th BCS exams

As many as 3,688 successful candidates will be recruited in different posts through the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations.

Of them, 3,487 will be appointed in cadre posts and 201 in non-cadre posts, according to a job circular published by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPCS) on Thursday.

Aspirants can submit their applications online from 10am on 10 December to 11:59pm on 31 December.

Candidates will get the circular at www.bpsc.gov.bd or http://bpsc.teletalk .com.bd.

Sources at the BPSC said the preliminary test of the 47th BCS is likely to be held in May 2025 though the schedule has yet to be finalised.

On Sunday, Senior Secretary Md Mokhlesur Rahman of the public administration ministry said the government would recruit a total of 18,150 individuals through five BCS examinations – from 43rd to 47th – in less than two years.

On Wednesday, the preliminary results of the 46th BCS examination were republished, and 21,397 candidates passed.
