Railway asks land grabbers to remove installations by 10 December
With the initiative of freeing the occupied land, the Bangladesh Railway has set a deadline of 10 December for encroachers to demolish establishments they set up illegally grabbing the land owned by the state-run rail transport agency.
“The government has taken a special initiative to free the occupied land,” the railway said in a public notice issued on Thursday.
For that purpose, instructions have been given to the individuals concerned to remove all their infrastructures constructed illegally on the land of the railway by their own initiative within the deadline.
The authorities concerned will take strict legal action to reclaim the occupied land after 10 December, read the notice.
