Army chief reviews BNCC central camp closing parade in Savar

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman inspected the closing parade of the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) Annual Central Camp 2025/26 at the BNCC Training Academy in Savar on Wednesday.

Attending the ceremony as the chief guest, the Army chief reviewed the ceremonial parade and received the salute from participating cadets, says a press release from the Inter Services Public Relations.

Addressing BNCC officials and cadets, he highlighted the organisation’s significant contribution to national security, discipline and crisis response, alongside the armed forces.

General Waker-Uz-Zaman commended the cadets for their active and commendable role at both social and national levels, noting that BNCC members have consistently demonstrated leadership, responsibility and patriotism.

He also extended his congratulations to all officers, instructors and cadets associated with the organisation.

The event was attended by the military secretary to the Army chief, the general officer commanding of the 9th Infantry Division and area commander of the Savar Area, the vice-chancellor of the University of Dhaka, the director general of BNCC, senior armed forces officials, BNCC officers and cadets, as well as representatives from the media.
