Missing measles vaccines an unforgivable crime: PM


Prime Minister Tariq Rahman stated on Saturday, April 18, 2026, that the government is committed to eliminating inequalities in healthcare.

Speaking at a conference organized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, he criticized the previous two administrations for committing an "unforgivable crime" by failing to provide timely measles vaccinations.

The Prime Minister noted that current government initiatives have successfully mitigated the severe measles outbreak and vowed further improvements.

He emphasized the need for Upazila health officials to modernize their services to ensure healthcare reaches the grassroots level effectively.

The event concluded with the Prime Minister presenting awards to the top-performing Upazila Health and Family Planning Officers.
