The price of Soyabin oil increased

Commerce Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir announced on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, a price hike of 4 BDT per liter for bottled soybean oil, bringing the new retail price to 199 BDT from the previous 195 BDT.

Following a price review meeting at the Ministry of Commerce, the price for loose soybean oil was also set at 179 BDT per liter. The Minister explained that the adjustment was necessary due to the rising costs in the global market, though he promised a downward adjustment if international prices decrease in the future.

The new rates are effective immediately.
