Father, daughter among 6 killed in three-vehicle collision in Tangail

At least six people, including a man and his daughter, were killed following a three-vehicle collision in the Bat Tala area at Sakhipur Upazila of Tangail on Monday noon.

The deceased were identified as Hridoy, 18, Sunam Uddin, 60, Mashraful, 8, Hafiz Uddin, 60, Jakir Master,45, and his daughter Renu Akter, 30.

All of them were residents of Kuratoli village of Banshtoil union under Mirzapur Upazila of the district.

Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Gorai Highway Police Station, said that the accident occurred when a truck, an auto-rickshaw and a private car collided with each other in the area.
