Ibrahim skips simultaneous movement with BNP to join election

Bangladesh Kalyan Party, led by Syed Muhammad Ibrahim, will participate in the upcoming national election slated for January 7 next year.

The announcement was made at a press conference at the Jatiya Press Club on Wednesday morning.

Kalyan Party was a part of the BNP-led alliance before getting involved in simultaneous movement with the BNP under a 12-party alliance.

With the latest announcement, it has now skipped the simultaneous movement with the BNP to join the upcoming election.

The party formed an alliance, Jukto Front, with Bangladesh Muslim League and Jatiya Party (Matin) to join the election.

Syed Muhammad Ibrahim was named as the chief of the alliance.
