Tigers return home

Tigers returned home on Monday morning after participating in the just concluded in Nidahas Trophy T20I triangular series.

A Sri Lankan airline carrying the Bangladesh cricket team landed at Shahjalal International Airport at around 11.35 am.

Sri Lankan Cricket Board arranged the Nidahas Trophy celebrating their 70th Independence day.

Bangladesh lost their two group phase matches against India but they beat to Sri Lanka.

Mushfiqur guided Bangladesh's record chase victory of 215 runs while Mahmudullah snatched Tigers' victory in last ball thriller hitting a big six in the virtual semi-final against Sri Lanka that steer Bangladesh to the final of the series.

But Dinesh Karthik snatched away victory from the Tigers with a last-ball six in the final of the T20I tournament.

Talking to the reporters today at Shahjalal International Airport Mushfiqur Rahim said they have not become that good a side in T20s till now.

There are some things which they can of course improve upon and their team management and coaching staff are looking at those things.

He further suggested that Bangladesh are slowly gaining confidence in this format and vowed to come back stronger.
