Messi wins the Golden Shoe and Pichichi awards for 5th time

It's been another goal-laden campaign for Barcelona's Leo Messi, and one which he's ended by winning his fifth Golden Shoe and Pichici awards.

Mo Salah ensured he had competition for long periods in the race for the former, but he was way ahead of his contemporaries in the domestic competition.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, Robert Lewandowski and Harry Kane were again left in the Argentinian's slipstream.

Salah had a few physical problems recently and is more focused on the Champions League final against Real Madrid in any event.

Had Messi scored in his cameo appearance against Real Sociedad on Sunday night, it would've been Barcelona's 6,000th goal in the league and 100th this season.
