Bangladesh win against Sri Lanka Board President's XI


Bangladesh on Tuesday won the sole warm-up match against Sri Lanka Board President's XI at the P Sara Oval in Colombo.

Bangladesh secured the win keeping 11 balls in hand as Team tigers’ batsmen reached the target with the loss of 5 wickets.

Mithun’s crucial 100-ball 91 helps Bangladesh to beat the Sri Lanka Board President's XI easily.

Earlier, Sri Lanka Board President's XI posted a challenging 282-8 against Bangladesh in the only warm-up match at the P Sara Oval in Colombo.

To chase the target, Team Tigers’ openers Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar started solidly on the crease.

Right-arm Lankan pacer Lahiru Kumara picked both of them. Soumya and Tamim scored a 24-ball 13 and a 47-ball 37 respectively before leaving the crease.

Later, Mushfiqur Rahim along with Mohammad Mithun consolidated the score with a 73-run partnership for the third wicket.

Mushfiqur picked a 46-ball fifty with Bangladesh on 131 for three before his departure.

Later, Mithun directed the Team Tigers to reach the target easily as Mahmudullah Riyad and Sabbir Rahman accompanied him with their quick innings.

Mahmudullah score 33 of 37 balls and Sabbir remained unbeaten with a 26-ball 31.
