Palak hopes Bangladesh to lead world in cyber tools, cyber solutions by 2041

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Sunday said the government works to flourish cyber tools and solutions in the country.

“Bangladesh does not want to be a recipient country in developing cyber tools and cyber solutions. By working jointly with the government-academia and industry, Bangladesh is working to lead the world in cyber tools and cyber solutions by 2041,” he said.

The minister came up with the statement while addressing the inaugural function of the country's first-ever "Cyber Range Lab" aimed at enhancing cyber security capabilities under the ICT Division's 'Secure Email and Digital Literacy Centre Establishment' project at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) in Dhaka.

Aiming to co-operate with educational institutions and industries, he said the ICT Division has taken effective steps to build skilled manpower in four domains -- Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Micro Processing Design -- under the directives of the Prime Minister's ICT Adviser.

MIST Commandant Maj Gen Md Wahid-Uz-Zaman, Head of the Department of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of MIST Brig Gen Md Abdur Razzak and Executive Director of Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) Dr Md Abdul Mannan were present, among others, on the occasion.
